One of our most common drainage systems for basement waterproofing is our proprietary below-slab drainage system. This system is designed to relieve hydrostatic water pressure when the water table rises and is forcing ground water up through your slab or seepage at the joint where the floor and walls meet. This system is very different than your typical franchised gutter system. Our system starts at 10″-12″ below the slab and continuously slopes to a sump pump. Incorporating layers of filtration, cast iron sump pumps and over 30 years with not oven one warranty call we proudly offer a 30-year warranty on our below-slab drainage systems. In many areas around the Pacific Northwest we have very high-water tables and underground springs. During periods of heavy rain, the water table rises and the springs swell. During these events if the water table rises enough to meet the foundation it can create hydrostatic pressure and force ground water into the basement. Our system will provide a greater path of least resistance and eliminate the ability for the hydrostatic pressure form.
Since this specific type of water intrusion issue is usually dealing with sub-surface ground water surface drainage water improvements (French drains, storm drains, Etc.) will not be a solution.
These systems usually incorporate sump pumps. WCS only installs cast iron pumps and have battery back-up, dual-pump and emergency battery systems available.
These systems exceed industry standards and have a 100% success rate. These systems can be fairly intrusive so we do everything we can to make sure it’s done right the first time.
